![]() The Contax Rx or AX as well as the 167 or the Aria - all are good alternatives. Both should be available for very reasonable prices today - even though the RTS III holds its value quite well. ![]() The RTS III was a very well built camera. I am not sure if the site still exists, but was a good resource. My preferred film body for use with Contax lenses is actually the EOS A2 (aka EOS 5 outside of North America). My experience with Yashica and Contax bodies was not all that great, I found them unreliable in comparison to the Nikon, Pentax and other film bodies I've owned. Given your requirements I'd look at one of the RTS bodies, preferably the RTSIII. Unfortunately the best resource for Contax cameras has been gone for a while now. Larger cameras are generally a plus as well, as I have large hands. In general, I imagine using it like I would my AE-1: as long as it has manual and aperture priority modes, and as long as its metered, I'll probably be okay. I need some suggestions about what type of Contax camera I should purchase (or rather, what the feature sets of the cameras are). Additionally, there seems to be a dearth of information about the various types online. With that said, unlike Canon cameras, I'm rather clueless as to the different types of Contax cameras available. ![]() While I've been using the first lens (and will use the second lens) on a 5D, I'd like to buy a Contax camera for film use, as well. ![]() I already have a Zeiss 50 1.4, and I'm probably going to purchase a Zeiss 135 2.8 in the immediate future. ![]()
